Master of the Forest

Tapio is the master of the Forest. He is the long-bearded moss-caped king. He governs and cares for the forest and animals. Tapio’s wife is Mielikki, Mistress of the Forest, and the source of the forests’ beauty. You can sense Tapio’s presence whilst moving amongst the forest. Summer forest empowers humans with deep greens and cacophony of animals sounds. Whilst winter forest is dream-filled white and silent. Those cold sunny days are a magical wonderland.

Spruce buds, stinging nettle and birch leaves from the forests of North Karelia combined with essential oils bring the mystical scents and colours from the kingdom of Tapiola and Mielikki.
